I have to take a moment and wish our oldest daughter Katie a very Happy 14th Birthday. I can't believe that 14 years have come and gone since you joined our family. Always remember to reach for the moon and stars and that the world is your oyster! You can be anything that you want to be in this world and don't let anyone tell you different. You are your parents pride and joy and we love you very much and don't ever forget it.
Love,
Your family

Space Center Houston
Piper and I took Katie,Noah, and Emma to Space Center Houston a couple of months ago. We had a lot of fun with the kids and learned some interesting things about space. The reason for going was to see the Star Wars Clone Wars exhibit for Piper and Noah. Cause as most of you know I could personally care less for the original or the new show. Noah on the other hand can tell you what every episode is numbered. So, being the good wife and mother that I am I willing went along. It turned out to be a very nice day together and I did enjoy it in spite of myself not wanting to. Piper was like a little boy in a candy store with his little sidekick along for the ride. As you can see I figured out how to put pictures on here so now I have no excuses for not doing so.

Took the kids to the movies today to see Monsters Vs Aliens was really a cute movie. We saw it in 2-D instead of 3-D and I think it would have been better in 3-D. I have always enjoyed movies in 3-D with all that stuff shooting out at you. Keeps you on the edge of your seat. The only thing that bugged me about the movie was the kid behind me kicking my chair the whole time. I asked him twice to stop to no avail. Tonight for dinner we are taking the kids to CiCi's pizza since Vicki is having Empty Nesters over here. Piper is grossed out right now as I am watching Dr. 90210 and there is a liposuction going on. He asked me are you really watching this? I really need to figure out how to put pictures on here. I was found today by a old friend on Face Book I can't believe it. I haven't talked to her in a very long time. Now I just wish I could find my best friend from high school and I would be oh so happy! Well, I am going to explore this blog thing and see what I can get accomplished on here in the way of pictures.

Random post
Well here it is April 9,2009 and I am just getting back to this blog of mine. I know I am really pathetic when it comes to these kind of things. Since I was last here a lot of things have happened. Today I went with Noah's second grade class to the zoo. It was awesome and the weather was incredible for Houston and this time of year. I will try to figure out how to post pictures and put them up. Later in the month I will be going on a field trip with Emma to the Interactive Theater to see Alice in Wonderland. Don't know that I will be able to take pictures, but will see what I can do. MiKayla finally figured out how to ride her bike on Monday. Yes, she is 10 and it has taken her this long. Katie was the same way; not learning til she was 9. They get it from the Malick side cause I know without a doubt that it isn't mine. She (Mac) is so excited and wants to ride her bike everywhere now. Piper is in Pharmacy school still, and has decided to join a fraturnity. It is a professional one that will help him get his foot in the door once he gets out of school and into the job market. He seems to still be enjoying school and that is important cause he still has a ways to go.

Getting Started
Well, I thought I would start a blog so that friends and family could keep up with what the Malick family is doing from time to time. We are a family of six; Piper, Lori, Katie,MiKayla,Noah, and Emma. The kids are all in school now and Piper continues his Pharmacy school studies at Texas Southern University. Katie is in the seventh grade at Cinco Ranch Junior High and is having an awesome year. MiKayla is now in the fifth grade and counting the days until she is also at Cinco Ranch. Noah is in the second grade and loving it, and last but not least Emma started kindergarden this past year and is at Rylander Elementary with MiKayla and Noah. I am no longer working for Cottage Charm Tea Room and stay at home so the kids have someone here when they get home. I love it and so do they as now mom can go fieldtrips with them more easily. I hope that I can keep up with this blog like everyone else I know does theirs'. I will post pictures soon. Love to all.
